Your mail, in the app you already use
PineMail speaks the open standards. Add your mailbox to Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird or your phone, and your calendar to Apple Calendar, Thunderbird or DAVx⁵ on Android. The web app works too.
The settings
The same settings, with your address filled in, are in your mailbox under Mailbox settings, Mail apps.
- Incoming mail (IMAP)

Adding the account
Apple Mail on Mac, iPhone and iPad
Add an account, choose Other, then Mail account, and enter the settings above.
Outlook
Add an account, open the advanced options, choose IMAP, and enter the settings above.
Thunderbird
Add a mail account and enter the settings above by hand.
Android
In your mail app, add an IMAP account with the settings above. For the calendar, add a CalDAV account in DAVx⁵.
Why it matters
Your mail stays yours
Over IMAP any app can read your whole mailbox, so you can copy everything to another service or your own disk whenever you like.
Encryption, plainly
Services that encrypt mail end to end cannot hand it to a normal mail app without a bridge program on your computer, because their server cannot read it. PineMail encrypts stored mail on the server instead, so your apps work as they are. The security page sets out what that protects against and what it does not.
